Citroniq Chemicals's platform for the chemical and plastics industries uses US-produced ethanol and cutting-edge technologies to generate some of the lowest-cost carbon capture and avoidance values in the industry. This round was led by Lummus Technology Ventures with participation from a large multi-national energy technology company. Link

3/ Healthcare Data Startup Segmed raises $10.4M Series A

Segmed has been committed to unlocking diverse cohorts of imaging data to support AI development and further clinical research. This round was led by iGan Partners and Advocate Health with participation from Castellan Group, Engine Health Capital, Bold Brain Ventures, Fox Chase Cancer Center. Link

4/ De-Generative Models Startup IdentifAI raises €2.2M Seed Round

IdentifAI specializes in developing and training de-generative models for identifying content potentially generated by AI. The fake image detection market is projected to explode from $0.6 billion in 2024 to $3.9 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 41.6%. This round was led by United Ventures with participation from various angels. Link

5/ Clean Energy Startup Oxylus Energy raises $4.5M Seed Round

Oxylus Energy's solution is the first low-temperature and low-pressure conversion of carbon dioxide to green methanol. This round was led by Toyota Ventures and Azolla Ventures with participation from Earth Foundry and Connecticut Innovations. Link

1/ Bluesky continues to soar, adding 2M more new users

Social networking startup Bluesky continues to benefit from X’s shutdown in Brazil, having now added more than 2M new users over the past four days, up from just half a million as of Friday. X is said to have had north of 20 million users in Brazil, which means there’s plenty of growth to be captured all around. Link
